ABOUT THE POETS:

Diana Arterian is the author of Playing Monster :: Seiche (1913 Press, 2017), the chapbooks With Lightness & Darkness and Other Brief Pieces (Essay Press, 2017), Death Centos (Ugly Duckling Presse, 2013), and co-editor of Among Margins: Critical & Lyrical Writing on Aesthetics (Ricochet, 2016). Born and raised in Arizona, she currently resides in Los Angeles, where she is a doctoral candidate in Literature & Creative Writing at the University of Southern California. 

Victoria Chang is the author of four books of poetry: Barbie Chang (Copper Canyon Press, 2017), The Boss (McSweeney's, 2013),Salvinia Molesta (University of Georgia Press, 2008)and Circle (Crab Orchard Series in Poetry, 2005). Her poems have appeared inKenyon Review, American Poetry Review, POETRY, The Believer, New England Review, The Washington Post, and elsewhere. She received a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Sustainable Arts Fellowship in 2017. She also enjoys writing children's picture books and Is Mommy? was published by Beach Lane Books (Simon & Schuster) in 2015. 


Originally from Moldova, Ruth Madievsky is the author of a poetry collection, Emergency Brake (Tavern Books, 2016), winner of the 2015 Wrolstad Contemporary Poetry Series. Her poetry and fiction appear in Tin House, The American Poetry Review, Kenyon Review, The Rumpus, and elsewhere. 

Douglas Manuel is the author of a poetry collection, Testify (Ren Hen Press, 2017). He was born in Anderson, Indiana and is currently a Middleton and Dornsife Fellow at the University of Southern California where he is pursuing a PhD in Literature and Creative Writing.  His poems are featured on Poetry Foundation's website and have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry Northwest, The Los Angeles Review, Superstition Review, Rhino, North American Review, The Chattahoochee Review, New Orleans Review, Crab Creek Review, and elsewhere.
